1. Who We Are
SoFin (“SoFin,” “we,” “us”) is a peer community of finance mentors and learners operated by ApeXhit LLC. SoFin is not a school, university, bank, broker-dealer, investment adviser, insurance company, or licensed financial institution of any kind. We provide general financial education, self-guided tools, and a way to connect with community members (“mentors”) for conversations — nothing on this site is a substitute for advice from a licensed professional.
2. Acceptance of These Terms
By using this website, the Financial Freedom Score quiz, the free calculators, the booking/scheduling flow, or by submitting your information through any form on this site, you agree to these Terms of Use, our Privacy Policy, and our Disclaimers. If you do not agree, please do not use this site.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico to use this site or submit your information. By submitting a form, you represent that this is true.
4. Not Financial, Legal, or Tax Advice
All quiz results, calculator outputs, articles, and conversations with SoFin community members are for general educational purposes only. They are not personalized financial, investment, tax, legal, or insurance advice, and should not be relied on as such. Always consult a licensed professional (financial advisor, CPA, or attorney) before making financial decisions. See our Disclaimers page for more detail.
5. Communications Consent
If you provide your email and/or phone number and opt in, you consent to receive educational emails and/or SMS messages from SoFin and/or the specific community member/mentor your submission is routed to. Message and data rates may apply. You can withdraw email consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email, and withdraw SMS consent at any time by replying STOP to any text. Consent to receive marketing communications is never a condition of using our free tools.
6. Booking Calls
Scheduling a call may take you to a SoFin mentor's own Google Calendar booking page, a third-party service not owned or controlled by SoFin. Your use of that scheduling tool is subject to Google's own terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for the availability or functioning of third-party scheduling tools.
7. Mentor Licensing & Referrals to Licensed Professionals
Not every SoFin mentor holds an insurance, securities, or investment adviser license. Mentors who are not yet licensed do not sell insurance or investment products, do not negotiate policy or account terms, and do not provide individualized financial, insurance, investment, or tax advice or recommendations. Their role is limited to general financial education, using the free tools on this site, and — if you're interested and willing — connecting you with a licensed professional on the SoFin team for any actual product discussion, individualized recommendation, or sale. Any “free financial health assessment,” review, or similar conversation offered through this site is educational/informational and/or is conducted by (or handed off to) a licensed team member before any specific product is discussed or recommended. Compensation, if any, paid to a mentor for an introduction or referral is not contingent on whether a licensed professional's prospect purchases a specific policy, product, or service, consistent with applicable state referral-fee and anti-rebating rules. Ask any mentor directly about their current licensure status before relying on anything they tell you about a specific product.
8. “Join the Team” / Community Opportunity
SoFin may invite users to join its community as a mentor/team member. Any description of this opportunity is illustrative only. SoFin makes no guarantee, promise, or representation of any specific income, earnings, or level of success — results, if any, vary by individual and depend on factors including effort, licensure status (where applicable), and market conditions. Any earnings examples or testimonials shared represent individual experiences and are not typical or guaranteed results.
9. Third-Party Links & Services
This site links to or integrates with third-party services including Discord, Facebook, Google Calendar, and email delivery providers. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, availability, or privacy practices of those third parties.
10. Acceptable Use
You agree not to submit false information, attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer this site, scrape data at scale, or use this site for any unlawful purpose.
11. Intellectual Property
All content on this site (including the SoFin name, logo, quiz, and calculators) is owned by ApeXhit LLC or its licensors and may not be copied or redistributed without permission.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
This site and its tools are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. Calculator results are estimates only and depend entirely on the inputs you provide.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SoFin and ApeXhit LLC are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site or reliance on any content, tool, or conversation obtained through it.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated Terms. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.
